The reconciliation facilities in the software all work on individual bank accounts. This is the logical thing to do but, for the external auditor, it is necessary to produce a single document which combines all the individual reconciliations. There is an example in the Practitioner’s Guide, Appendix 1, and we have modelled the individual reconciliations and what I call the ‘Consolidated reconciliation’ on this layout.
In order to generate a Consolidated Reconciliation at a specific date, you first have to generate individual reconciliations at that date. This will normally be the year end, March 31st, but, of course, you can generate a Consolidated Reconciliation at any point, provided that individual reconciliations are available for all accounts at that date.
You will find Consolidated Reconciliation under the Year end section of the drop-down menus.
