This menu is used to create a new account. You must create at least one account for the software to allow you to enter transactions since every transaction must be associated with a bank account.
When you access the page via the Setup menu, you will see the following screen:
You only need to fill in the first box (the name by which you will know the account) but you can fill in other boxes if you wish. Here is the form completed with the details of the main current account.
Once you are happy with the details, then click on the Save button and the account will be added to the database.
You will then be taken automatically to the screen that allows you to enter the opening balance. You only need to do this if you are starting up with a new installation; if you have opened an account during use of the software, it will have a zero opening balance and you will use a bank transfer if you want to move funds to the new account.
