The following is a summary of the latest updates to Easy PC Accounts, now available to all users.

These updates have now been successfully rolled out and are available across the system.

We’ve made a range of updates to improve usability and refine key areas of the system.
Thank you for your continued feedback — it directly shapes these improvements.
While thoroughly tested, you may still encounter occasional issues — please let us know if you do.

✨ Everyday Usability

  • General improvements to streamline routine tasks across the system

💷 Transactions (Receipts & Payments)

  • Increased flexibility when working with reconciled transactions
  • You can now amend VAT types where the total amount remains unchanged

📎 Document Management (New)

  • Upload and store PDF documents within the system
  • Attach invoices and receipts directly to transactions
  • Bank statement uploads linked to reconciliations coming soon

🏦 Bank Accounts

  • Deactivate unused accounts to keep bank account lists clear
  • Accounts must be fully reconciled with a zero balance before deactivation

🧾 VAT Reclaims

  • Improved validation of claims
  • Transactions missing a VAT number or invoice date are automatically excluded

📊 Reporting

  • Improved Excel and PDF outputs across key reports, including:
    • Annual Return
    • Bank Account report (now includes voucher numbers)
    • Accounts & Budgets
    • Budget Report (now includes a full-year view)
  • New: Period Reporting
    • View spend against budget across a selected period
    • Includes percentage comparison to budget
    • Helps support AGAR reporting and identify significant variances

⚙️ Account Management

  • Fixed issues affecting budget setting

👤 Internal Auditors

  • Internal auditors can now be added as users
  • The same email address can be used across multiple councils

🔐 Security

  • Option to reveal passwords during entry to improve login usability
  • Guidance provided when creating passwords to help ensure strength

🔐 Data Export Improvements

  • Numeric fields now export as numbers (not text)
  • Reduced use of merged cells for better usability
  • Export date included in spreadsheet footer for traceability
